The FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) promotes and ensures the sustainable management of global forest resources, taking into account the social, economic, and ecological needs of both present and future generations. The FSC®-certified forest area amounts to approximately 200 million hectares worldwide. In these areas, neither illegal logging nor large-scale slash-and-burn practices are carried out.

This background motivates us to manufacture our products in accordance with FSC guidelines. By purchasing wood products bearing the FSC label, you as a consumer consciously choose a more sustainable use of forest resources, thereby contributing to a healthier and better environment.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a leading and globally recognized standard for processing textiles made from organically produced natural fibers.

At a high level, environmental requirements are defined along the entire textile production chain, including mandatory social criteria. Quality assurance is guaranteed through independent certification. The GOTS label provides you as a consumer with confidence when making purchasing decisions. Particularly for babies and young children, skin-friendly textiles are extremely important. For this reason, we place great emphasis on environmentally friendly manufacturing and accordingly low-pollutant textile products.

The Blue Angel has been the environmental label of the German government for over 40 years. It guarantees that products and services meet high standards for environmental, health, and usability properties. Therefore, the Blue Angel serves as a guide for consumers seeking to make sustainable purchases. Because we place great value on sustainable products, many of our textiles as well as our baby and children's furniture are awarded this label.

Additionally, many of our wood products are EPH certified. This guarantees the safety of our products. The Öko-Tex seal also confirms the health safety of our textiles. The seal indicates that our baby products are tested for harmful substances and do not contain phthalates.

In addition to sustainable production, the roba team in the offices also works under the principle of sustainable management. Environmental protection starts with small things for us. For example, we use recycled paper for printing instead of fresh fiber paper. It is especially important to us that the necessary packaging materials for our products do not harm the environment. For this reason, the topic of recycling is a particular focus for us, especially regarding sales packaging. We ensure that the packaging materials we choose can be recycled and reintroduced into the economic cycle.

Particularly during the delivery of packages, many emissions are typically released. To counteract this environmental impact, we use the climate-neutral delivery service provided by GLS. The delivery service concept is based on two pillars: reducing and avoiding emissions, and compensating for unavoidable emissions, enabling 100 percent carbon-neutral parcel shipping. During package delivery, diesel vehicles are replaced by electric delivery vehicles, e-bikes, and other electric vehicles powered by green electricity. The compensation of unavoidable emissions is achieved through forest protection and efficient reforestation.

We also make use of natural energy sources and produce eco-friendly electricity through our own solar panels. When placing our solar panels, we ensured that no interference with nature was made, instead utilizing the space on our company buildings. This way, the habitat of insects and animals in our surroundings remains preserved, while we generate environmentally friendly electricity.
