We as a company with a long history are interested in the following generations of the earth can live without restrictions. For this reason, the sustainability aspect is at the core of our corporate philosophy, which we reinforce with extensive certifications and environmental award (e.g. FSC, GOTS, BSCI). What does FSC mean?
The FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) promotes and secures the global forest stocks taking into account social, economic and ecological needs of today's and future generations. The FSC®-certified forest area is around 200 million hectares worldwide. Neither illegal deforestation nor large -scale burning is carried out on this area.
This background moves us to make our products based on the FSC guidelines. With a purchase of wooden products with the FSC label, as a consumer, you consciously choose a more sustainable handling of the forest resources and thus make a contribution to a healthy and better environment.
And what does GOTs mean?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a leading and globally recognized standard for the processing of textiles from biologically generated natural fibers.
At a high level, environmental requirements along the entire textile production chain and the social criteria to be observed are defined. Quality assurance is guaranteed by independent certification. The GOTS label gives you security as an end consumer when making your purchase decision. Skin-friendly textiles are extremely important, especially for baby and small children. For this reason, we attach great importance to environmentally friendly and accordingly low -pollutant textile products.
Our seals
The blue angel has been the Federal Government's environmental signs for over 40 years. It guarantees that the products and services meet high demands on environmental, health and use properties. Therefore, the blue angel serves as a consumer as an orientation for sustainable purchase. Since we attach great importance to sustainable products, many of our textiles as well as our baby and children's furniture are awarded this label.
In addition, many of our wooden products are certified. This guarantees the safety of our products. The eco-tex seal also confirms the health of health of our textiles. The seal indicates that our baby products are tested for pollutants and do not contain any phthalates.
Environmental protection through recycling
In addition to sustainable production, the Roba Team also works in the offices under the principle of sustainable business. Environmental protection starts with little things. For example, we use recycling paper instead of fresh fiber paper. It is also particularly important to us that the necessary packaging material of our products is not at the expense of the environment. For this reason, we focus on recycling, especially with regard to sales packaging. When choosing the packaging material, we make sure that it can also be recycled and returned to the economic cycle.
Climate -neutral delivery
As a rule, many emissions are expelled. In order to counteract this environmental pollution, we use the climate -neutral delivery service of the GLS. The concept of the delivery service is based on two pillars, the reduction and avoidance of emissions and the compensation of the emissions that are not to be avoided, which enables 100 percent package shipping possible. When delivering packages, diesel vehicles are replaced by electric delivery vehicles, as well as e-bikes and other electrical vehicles that are operated with eco-stream. The inevitable emissions are compensated for by forest protection and efficient reforestation.
Modern energy management
We also use the natural energy sources and generate ecological electricity using our own solar panel. When placing our solar panels, we made sure not to intervene in nature, but use the area on our company buildings. On the one hand, the habitat of insects and animals in our area remains and on the other hand we create environmentally friendly electricity.
